Stanley Yelnats comes from a very unlucky family! His great-grandfather lost a fortune to the famous bandit Kissin' Kate Barlow, his dad is stinking up his house with failed experiments involving smelly footwear, and Stanley has just been sentenced to 18 months at a juvenile detention camp for a crime he didn't commit! But his luck is about to change! Are you wondering how? Read this great book to find out.

This is one of the best books I've ever read, for children or adults! If you are looking for a mystery, adventure, or just a good read, check out this book. This is also a great book to read aloud, except for the fact that there are many characters. (It's usually a bad idea to read aloud books with multiple speaking characters because it's easy to confuse what each person is saying.) Anyway, it is worth reading, to yourself or to someone else, because the ending is so satisfying! By the way, as usual, the book is better than the movie (but the movie is pretty good)!
