Ming Lo Moves the Mountain

AR: 3.6
Lexile: 600
Written and illustrated by
Arnold Lobel
Normal-length Picture Book
Genre: Fiction

Ming Lo and his wife live in the shadow of a mountain and he?s not too happy about it. He seeks help from a wise man who tells him how to move the mountain away from his house. Ming Lo follows the wise man?s directions and ends up a happy man. Find out how he was able to move the mountain in this clever story.

This is a simple but amusing story. It makes me smile at the wisdom of the old man and how he is able to "fool" Ming Lo into being happy. I love the illustrations in this book. Be sure to check out other books by this great author/illustrator like Owl At Home or the "Frog and Toad" books.
