I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.

Normal-length Picture Book
Genre: Biography

Jackie was playing baseball ever since she can remember. When she turns seventeen, she is given a chance to pitch against a major league team. Practically everyone in the whole world thinks that girls are too soft and breakable to play baseball. Can Jackie prove that they are wrong and that Jackie is as good a player as any boy or man?

I really like this book. It's a book for girls who like to read about girls who rock! It's a book for boys (and girls) who like baseball! And it's a shame that there arent' more books like this! I enjoyed reading the story, then when I saw who she pitched against, and I found out that this actually happened, It really "blew my mind"! This is one of the better sports picture books. It's a home run!
