Naomi is an Amish girl who has been taught that the simple ways of her community are terribly important. One day, she finds an egg that hatches into a very fancy bird. Oh no! How will her family and community react when they see this beautiful creature?

This is a charming story, as most Patricia Polacco stories are! Whether you like fancy things or plain, I'm sure you will enjoy this book that is just plain good!
