In a real sense, people who have read good literature have lived more than people who cannot or will not read. It is not true that we have only one life to live; if we can read, we can live as many more lives and as many kinds of lives as we wish.

YOU FOUND IT! This is my favorite picture book (and my favorite book, period)! Son loves his dad and dad loves him, too. That's basically it, end of story. It's just son and dad telling each other how much they love each other. But the simplicity of the words are rhythmic, almost poetic, and the pictures are really cute. I hope that when I have kids of my own I will be able to love them as purely as this dad loves his son. At the very least, I will read this book to them over and over and never get tired of it!
